What we do
Veterinary mentoring
I provide veterinary mentoring via the MentorVet -platform.
Young vet mentoring program by an accredited veterinary mentor expected to start from Jan 2025.
Customised coaching services for surgical preparedness and for basic equine practice.
Financial coaching for establishing small private clinics focusing on spay/neuter surgeries and basic wellness plans.
“When I think back to the start of my career, I remember the importance of having mentors around me who supported my development and pushed me to become the vet I’m today. Thank you Dr Ilona.”

Animal Welfare Project development
Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) and the Veterinary Council India (VCI), as well as the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of United Nations, had noted in 2009 and 2011, respectively, that lack of technical skills were affecting the quality and availability of surgical sterilisation, or animal birth control (ABC) programs in India as well as worldwide in many countries where the need for such programs was most.
One solution to this has been the development of surgery focused continuous education and skills development programs for veterinarians. Very practical and for limited number of participants at a time, these programs provide confidence in the essential foundation skills for vets interested in clinical/surgical career.
WVS India, under our guidance, has been at the forefront of the veterinary surgical CPD programs in India since 2010.
Mobile equine field practice
Since March 2024 we are providing private veterinary clinical services as stable visits mainly for equine reproduction diagnostics.
Coming up by the end of 2024 (expected): basic vet care -private clinic model for affordable and accessible spay/neuter surgeries and other routine procedures.
“The last time I remember handling a horse by myself, was on September 2022, after these months, it was all Greek and Latin when the topic was about horse handling and management. To help me to pass my CPE, I attended the horse handling basics workshop in June 2024, where Ilona was so patiently teaching me, right from the approach to a horse, till the placement of a nasogastric tube, in an extremely professional manner.
I would definitely recommend anyone, who is interested knowing equine handling/ medicine should try this short workshop/mentoring service to gain skills.”
